STAMPS | A German citizen once wanted stamps from the Nazi period to be given to a Jewish Israeli woman. I received some of them. Remorse, reparation, appeasement, pacification? I would never know.
In any case, for a very long time I could not touch the Adolph Hitler stamp without trembling.
TATTOOS | There was a time when the tattoo was a sign of tribal belonging. Today, the tattoo on the skin serves as a sign of identity, a sign to give the feeling of existing. But it was also another and odd time when tattooing wasn’t a choice and had a whole other meaning.
